Class Descriptions

 

Bootcamp

45 minute strength & conditioning classes designed to challenge participants but remain accessible to ALL fitness levels through modifications & support from coaches. Bootcamps at CoastLife utilize all kinds of functional equipment for both strength training & cardio conditioning. Kettlebells, dumbbells, barbells, TRX’s, slam balls, medicine balls, bands, plyometric boxes, sandbags, tires, airdyne bikes and sleds. We do it all!!

 

HIIT

HIIT classes (high intensity interval training) have become more popular in the last 5 years as they are short (30 minutes or less) and efficiently train all muscle groups using shorter timed work intervals. These classes are accessible for all age groups that range in all levels of physical ability and need a variety of modifications and the chance to workout at a level of exertion that is comfortable for them. Classes are 30 minutes long including a warm up & short cool down and utilize all types of equipment.

ATHLETIC MOBILITY

30 minute low impact joint mobilization and muscular stabilization class. We focus on the spine, hips, knees, ankles and shoulders. We focus on movements that will assist us to lift safely and effectively, and movements that will prevent and rehabilitate injuries and physical limitations.

METCON 30

A 30 minute metabolic conditioning class/Crossfit inspired WOD. No strict lifting in this class. Compound & olympic barbell and dumbbell lifts, cardio, and some gymnastics skills. All movements can be scaled to make this class accessible for all.

ATHLETIC MOBILITY

A 30 minute class designed to increase and maintain joint mobility, muscular stability & general over all flexibility. Gentle and low impact. A great compliment to all other training and very useful in the prevention & rehabilitation of injury.
